The first of its kind in the country, Farmer’s Market Lofts integrates the indoor component of the famous St. Paul Farmer’s Market with condominium housing above. The five-story 85,000 square foot building is adjacent to the recently redeveloped outdoor Farmer’s Market and the 17,000 square foot indoor market floor is a showcase of locally grown produce and foods. Set in the historic Lowertown district of St. Paul, the project takes its inspiration from the century old structures in the neighborhood. Its blend of traditional and contemporary design uses brick, steel, and precast concrete to complement the urban fabric of the area. The 48 condominiums tall windows bring light deep into the space while the layout allows maximum creativity in interior design. Parking is located below the building with a striking visitor entrance located at street level.
