Constructed from 1886 through 1930, the 14-story Lowry Building once held offices for doctors and dentists and has since seen several failed attempts at redevelopment. Conversion of the downtown office building includes retaining the commercial and office space on the 1st and 2nd floor and remodeling the remaining floors into 120 one- and two-bedroom condominium units. The top floor will include upscale penthouse units.Collaborative Design Group is providing architecture, interior design, and structural engineering. The first two floors will begin restoration focusing on the terra cotta and granite decorative elements. The upper floors will require repointing of the brick and terra cotta patching and replacement.
