New headquarters for the University of Minnesota Police Department provides secure state-of-the-art facilities for enforcement and administrative personnel.The 13,000 sf service area accommodates the student security and traffic monitor programs and is connected to the University pedestrian tunnel and skyway system. Police vehicle parking is incorporated into the new Washington Avenue Ramp attached to the Police Facility. Future expansion of the Police Department can be accomplished through utilization of office space on upper floors.
